The other day, amidst the chaos in our home, Brek looked at me and said, "So, do you think we will miss it someday?" (referring to the chaos)
I thought for a moment, then replied, "Yes."
The house will be cleaner, the laundry will be significantly less, the noise level will be drastically reduced....but we will miss it.
Because we will miss them.
Along with the chaos comes so much joy. Families are the best!

Oh my heck! I seriously think this same thing ALL the time.....When my house is totally noisy and chaotic and my head is POUNDING from all of the screaming/laughing/etc....I always think...."THIS IS MUCH BETTER THAN THE SILENCE THAT WILL FILL MY HOME SOMEDAY!!" I love the craziness........most of the time! :)
It is sooo true Emily! Just when I think I cannot handle one more second of it( the chaos) Mia will crawl up onto my lap and wrap her arms around my neck and say " I love you Mommy"..then , I find myself thinking ... oh I want just one more. :) It's heaven on Earth right?
